World War One Memorabilia Day
at Carlow College, Carlow.
7 March 2015
Do you have a box hidden in the attic or under the bed that holds the story of a family member that was involved in World War 1?
Do you have a letter, a photo … a story to tell?
Then come along to Cobden Hall in Carlow College to show us your collection and tell us your war story. We want to record this material, to build a history of people and World War One (WW1) so that we can all have a better understanding of what the war meant to ordinary families in the South East of Ireland.
Bring along your memorabilia items to our WW1 Memorabilia Day at Carlow College on Saturday, 7 March 2015 from 10am to 4pm. Experts will be on hand to digitally photograph your material and collect your details and stories. Your materials will be remain with you at all times throughout the process and will return home with you (after they have been photographed and written up) so they can remain a part of your family heirlooms.
Come and join in the story of WW1, to preserve generations of stories and bring people closer together to those who witnessed the war at first hand. Further information will be posted at the Carlow College Information Centre on Tullow Street, and on our website www.carlowcollege.iein the coming weeks.
Book a time slot at the Carlow College Information and Training Centre, Tullow Street, Carlow to record your WW1 story.
