Tour of Medieval Castledermot from 11:00 – 12:30
Starting at St James’ Church this walk and talk will visit key sites in medieval Castledermot where its remarkable history, from the early Christian origins to the prosperous medieval walled town, will be explained. Organised by Castledermot Local History Group as part of Castledermot Medieval Festival, the tour will be led by Dr Sharon Greene, local archaeologist.

Walk and Talk in Mullaghreelan Woods 15:00 – 17:30
Local historian Eamon Kane will host a walk and talk on the rich heritage of Mullaghreelan, Castledermot. Meet at the O’Toole Monument, beside carpark. Talk on St Laurence O’Toole, Castledermot, the French Connection; Mullach Ré Éireann, Saint Patrick & Oisin.
