Dear members
A reminder that we have an outing on this coming SUNDAY 15th JUNE starting at the Timahoe Round Tower, Co Laois, meeting at 3.00pm.
Can I alert you to the fact that the Kildare County Show is taking place in Athy on the same day, and I would suggest that you avoid traveling though Athy en route to Timahoe.
Directions are as follows:
Location: Timahoe Round Tower is situated equidistant southeast from Portlaoise, and northeast of Abbeyleix. From M7 south, leave at junction 16 on to R425 south then left on R 426.
Timahoe village is approx. 10 km. down R 426. The round tower stands in a lovely park-like setting across a pretty footbridge that crosses the Bauteogue river in the centre of the village and is signposted.
Also can I remind you that our annual excursion will take place on Sunday 6th July to County Westmeath.
To assist us in making final arrangements, could I ask you to complete your booking form and send it to Mary Kirby if you will be attending the outing.
A copy of the booking form is attached.
Best regards
Greg Connelly
